Development is ramping up again. I took a short break to help launch a small indie title I have been working on as a contract developer. Just before that, I had been working hard on getting the realistic graphics update, the results of which you can see in the latest update video!
I'm really excited to get rolling with this iteration of the game and integrate all of the systems I built up from the initial prototype. I'm hoping to have enemy AI more polished and build up a small arena game loop to combat simple waves of enemies.
The next video should hopefully feature that and the emote / voice lines I have been working on. I even called in a favor with a YouTuber friend of mine with tons of voice acting experience to get him featured as the first voice: the barbarian archetype!
The next major milestone will be the networking code (multiplayer). That will definitely take more time, but will be the first step towards a playable demo (Summer Goal). I'm really excited to get it open to you guys as soon as possible! Early feedback is the best feedback.
